VA Aid & Attendance Benefit

Are you a veteran or a surviving spouse?  You may be missing out on unclaimed financial reimbursement for Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit.

This most important benefit is overlooked by many families with Veterans or surviving spouses who need additional monies to help care for ailing parents or loved ones. This is a "Pension Benefit" and IS NOT dependent upon service-related injuries for compensation. Aid and Attendance can help pay for care in the home, Nursing Home or Assisted Living facility. The Aid and Attendance Benefit is considered to be the third tier of the VA's Improved Pension. The other two tiers are known as "Basic" and "Housebound". Each tier has its own level of benefits and qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Did the veteran serve in active duty for at least 90 days, with at least one day during a declared state of war?
  • If you are a surviving spouse, were you married to the vteran at the time of his/her passing?
  • Do you rquire the assistance of another person to perfor daily activities of living?
  • Are you paying for care that is now or will soon exceed your monthly income?
  • Will care be needed on a permanent basis?

If you feel you may be eligible, then you owe it to yourself to find out if you may quailify for this little-known acheter, little-used VA pension.
